The Good Hope Medical Foundation has awarded the MLK Community Health Foundation $200,000—extending its commitment to health and wellness in South Los Angeles. The 2016 gift is in support of our Advanced Care Program initiative, and will support the late-2016 opening of the Advanced Care Clinic, providing services for adults with complex chronic conditions and patients transitioning from the hospital to their medical homes.

Launched in 2015, Advanced Care is designed to help fill the critical physician gap in South Los Angeles and respond to the community’s need for appropriate and timely care for our adult population. Over time, Advanced Care outpatient services will help keep patients in their homes, managing their health with proper care support.

A consistent supporter of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital, the Good Hope Medical Foundation has provided financial support from the hospital’s planning phase to its opening in 2015, including a leadership gift for the Healthy Babies, Healthy Beginnings initiative.
