We Have LA’s CEO and CTO of the Year
Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital executive leadership continues earning distinction. Congratulations to MLKCH CEO Dr. Elaine Batchlor and MLKCH Chief Information and Innovation Officer Sajid Ahmed—they both received high honors from the Los Angeles Business Journal this spring.
On May 23, 2016, Dr. Batchlor was awarded CEO of the Year by the LABJ at the annual Women’s Summit for her commitment to improving the health of South LA. Her award was shared with Judy Olian, dean of UCLA Anderson School of Management. Both women topped a category that included nominees Shonda Rhimes, producer of television shows “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Private Practice,” and “Scandal,” and Jessica Alba, founder of The Honest Company.
On June 13, 2016, Sajid Ahmed was honored by LABJ at their CIO/CTO Award ceremony with the Chief Technology Officer of the Year in the large nonprofit category, recognizing his critical role in implementing technology design for our state-of-the-art hospital and leading a culture of innovation at MLKCH.
These recent recognitions underscore the hospital’s dedication to providing the highest quality care for the South Los Angeles community.
